WHAT KNOWLEDGE OR SKILLS DO Y0U NEED?
It is important of course that you like animals and are not afraid of some honest farm work. You will gain hands-on experience, thus no previous expertise is needed. Petting zoo de Pijp has many educational programs so, getting along with children is important as well as being sociable. In addition, we need to be able to rely on you concerning working hours.

WHAT DO YOU GET IN RETURN?
Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse travel expenses, but we do organise a nice day out once a year as a thank you for all our volunteers.

WHAT IS THE ADDED VALUE OF THIS VOLUNTEER WORK?
You take care of the basic needs of the animals, without this, the childrens zoo cannot function properly. Because of all the educational programmes, the farm also has the task to show children how important it is to take good care of animals; your help and good example in this will be greatly valued. What more: you will get to know new people and be able to practice your Dutch if you want to,

WORKING HOURS
At least half a day a week, preferable on Monday morning or Wednesday morning/afternoon.
